Privacy Policy
Last updated August 1, 2026
This notice explains what Homie collects and how it is used across the app, WhatsApp, SMS verification, voice, and enabled household integrations. Homie is operated by M1 Factory, Inc. KnoMe is a related but separate product with its own privacy policy.
1. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, Homie may collect:
- Your phone number, account identifiers, verification status, and household membership.
- Household information you provide, such as members, routines, preferences, food restrictions, responsibilities, and plans.
- Messages, documents, photos, voice interactions, and other content you choose to send.
- Message delivery, opt-in, opt-out, device, security, and product-usage information.
- Information from third-party accounts only when you connect and authorize an integration.
2. How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users; operate, personalize, and improve Homie; maintain the household brain; perform requested tasks; deliver messages and reminders; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
For product analytics, Homie may classify the current interaction into fixed categories such as intent, outcome, sentiment, and friction. PostHog receives only those categories and operational measurements—not message text, model replies, household memory, contact information, photos, or documents.
3. Service providers and AI processing
We use service providers to operate Homie, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Twilio and WhatsApp/Meta for communications, OpenAI for AI processing, PostHog for privacy-restricted product analytics, and Railway for application hosting. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
4. Household sharing and permissions
Information saved to a household brain may be accessible to authorized household members and agents according to household roles and sharing permissions. Personal KnoMe information remains subject to the permissions associated with that individual account.
5. Messaging choices
You may initiate Homie through the app or supported messaging channels. Message frequency varies with household activity and settings. Message and data rates may apply. Where supported, reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
Recurring SMS is optional and requires separate consent. You can review the program details and opt in at homie.knome.one/sms.
6. Retention and security
We retain information while it is needed to provide Homie and for limited periods afterward for security, backup, legal, and operational requirements. Retention depends on the information and feature involved. We use technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
Session replay is maximum-masked for every user: text and inputs are masked before being sent to PostHog, broad autocapture is disabled, and chat surfaces are excluded from capture. Alpha users may separately opt in to founder review of their own interactions for 60 days and revoke at any time. Any user may explicitly share one of their own exchanges for review for 30 days.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, disconnect integrations, change household permissions, or stop messages. Availability of specific rights depends on your location. Contact meet@m1factory.com.
8. Children and dependent accounts
Homie is not directed to children under 13. A parent, guardian, or authorized caregiver may manage a dependent’s household profile or account. We do not knowingly permit a child to independently create or control an account where parental consent is required.
9. Changes
We may update this notice as Homie evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do.
